RRV Laboratory Exhaust Valve
Terminal Units
The single duct exhaust terminal unit RRV is designed for critical exhaust applications in constant and variable volume systems where airflow control accuracy is crucial for health or safety reasons. The unit operates on an advanced orifice sensor technology.
- No maintenance required since it comes with Teflon bearings which help with the ability to operate under a wide range of temperature
- The orifice sensor features two upstream pressure taps and 2 downstream pressure taps which minimize particulate collection
- Made of heavy-duty 316 stainless steel or 20-gauge galvanized steel
Product Application
Corrosive environments like chemical plants and testing laboratories need special terminal units to handle (oftentimes) caustic environments. Our RRV models are single-duct exhaust terminal units that offer accuracy in airflow control and are the perfect fit for critical exhaust applications. They are designed to enable an unhampered operation of your facilities and also prioritize health and safety of the equipment and occupants.
Features
- Features a round terminal unit with standard round inlet and discharge collars sized to accept either flexible or rigid duct
- The damper is two flat-metal blades with a gasket sandwiched in between for low leakage. Stainless steel does not utilize a gasket. 90° damper with solid stainless-steel shaft with position indicator
- Available without controls, with electronic analog controls, with factory-mounted direct digital controls (supplied by others), or with four-function pneumatic controls
- The inlet is a Bellmouth connection for both Bellmouth/Slip and Bellmouth/flange connection. In the slip connection, the round ductwork will slip over the outlet, while in the flanged connection, the round flange is welded to the discharge to allow a connection to a round flanged duct. These are available for stainless-steel construction only
- The stainless-steel unit has stainless-steel damper blade and no seal
- The galvanized unit has galvanized damper blade and seal
- Controls Disconnect Switch
- Orifice sensor design minimizes particulate collection often associated with other sensors used in contaminant exhaust applications
- Continuous 316 stainless steel damper shafts with self-lubricating bearings
- Consists of dust-tight sealing for the control enclosure
- Slip inlet and outlet duct connections accept industry-standard sizes
- Orifice ring flow sensor requires 2 1/2" equivalent duct diameters of straight duct upstream of the sensor
- No insulation options
Benefits
Easily Adjustable
The damper angle can be easily identified using the position indicator present in the shaft.
Noise-free Operation
The unit’s damper bearings are designed to prevent noise emission and require no lubrication.
Peak Precision
Orifice sensor technology allows more accurate flow control over a wide duct velocity range.
